BASIC tank ring for Honda CB 500 from 1993 to 1997

The model-specific tank ring connects a compatible Hepco&Becker BASIC tank bag to the Honda CB 500 from model years 1993 to 1997. The locking system is entirely mechanical.

Tank ring and retaining plate as a set

The black BASIC tank ring and matching retaining plate for the tank bag are supplied. Its position on the tank bag is adjusted to suit the tank shape and steering lock. The fuel cap can also be opened with the ring fitted.

Using the BASIC system

  • Audible engagement when the tank bag is fitted
  • Released using the strap at the front in the direction of travel
  • Recommended maximum speed with tank bag: 130 km/h
  • Recommended load: approx. 3 kg

The required tank bag must be designed for the Hepco&Becker BASIC system. Lock-it retaining plates and BASIC tank rings cannot be combined. When installed as intended, ABE and registration are not required; the motorcycle manufacturer's information and model-specific product instructions also apply.
