Universal BASIC tank ring with 6-hole mounting for BMW
The universal 6-hole tank ring serves as a mechanical mounting point for Hepco & Becker tank bags on suitable BMW models. Compatibility with the motorcycle must be checked before ordering.
Complete BASIC kit
The BASIC tank ring and the corresponding retaining plate for the underside of the tank bag are included. Its position can be adjusted during installation to suit the tank shape and steering lock. The retaining plate is already part of this product and is not required separately.
Function and use
- Mechanical locking with an audible click
- Release via the front securing strap on the tank bag
- Fuel cap remains accessible with the tank ring installed
- Recommended load: approx. 3 kg
- Recommended maximum speed: 130 km/h
The motorcycle manufacturer’s requirements and model-specific product information remain authoritative. Neither ABE approval nor registration is required when installed as intended. The manufacturer’s checklist can be used to determine whether this universal 6-hole version is suitable for the intended BMW model.
Matching system required
This tank ring may only be combined with a retaining plate from the BASIC system. A Lock-it retaining plate cannot be used with it.
