The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic is specially designed for the motorcycle model Kawasaki ZX-7 R Ninja from 1996 to 2002. This accessory is used to secure a corresponding tank bag directly on the motorcycle tank.

Product features

• Stable hold of the tank bag, even at higher speeds
• The assembly is carried out by a mechanical locking that ensures simple handling
• The tank backpack can be attached to the tankers by putting on and is audible
• The tank bag is removed by pressing a unlocking mechanism on the front belt of the backpack in the direction of travel
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is required for the use of the tank bag system
• Recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag: 130 km/h
• Recommended maximum weight for the content of the tank bag: approx. 3 kg

The tanking basic enables the tank cover to be opened even when the backpack is installed without any restrictions. The scope of delivery includes the tanking and a customizable counter holder, which is mounted on the tank bag depending on the tank shape and steering impact.

Differences to other tanking systems

Compared to the Lock-IT tanking from Hepco & Becker, which also uses magnets for the centering, the basic tanking offers a purely mechanical lock. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring. It is important to note that tank bags and counterholder must be compatible with the respective system and cannot be used mixed.
