The MALOSSI cylinder kit gray cast iron Ø 63 is designed for the Vespa Cosa 125 built between 1988 and 1997. The bore of 63 mm and the displacement of 178 cm³ form the basis for the revised cylinder concept with internal fluid dynamics and six running channels.

Flow-optimized design

The profiled overflow channels align the gas flow at the inlet and promote high turbulence. The rear channels feature a dual slope (1-2) profile. The outlet has also been tuned with a revised profile and a wider design for an orderly gas flow towards the exhaust. The design supports more efficient combustion and clean purging.

Piston and cylinder head

The two-ring piston Ø 63 has a profile developed for high operating temperatures. The adjusted piston clearance supports uniform guidance in the liner and reduces twisting around the pivot pin axis. Two piston rings ensure smooth sliding and tightness against the pressure created in the combustion chamber.

The hemispherical cylinder head features spiral cooling fins and an inclined, yet central spark plug position. Two centering bushings support the precise connection of head and cylinder; the separation is done by an O-ring.
