Comprehensive care kit for canvas, leather and split leather

This maintenance kit combines various products for cleaning, caring for and reconditioning accessories, bags and jackets made of canvas, smooth leather or split leather. The appropriate product must be selected based on the material and the corresponding instructions for use.

Scope of delivery

• Cotton bag with Unit Garage logo
• Waterproofing spray
• Block of solid wax
• Black or brown colour cream in a 50 ml tube
• Soft cleaning brush with wooden handle
• Brush with brass bristles and wooden handle for split leather
• Cleaning disc, 100 × 60 mm and 8 mm thick
• Microfibre cloth

Waterproofing spray

The spray is designed for the regular care of accessories, bags and jackets made of leather, canvas or split leather. If necessary, the item can first be cleaned with warm, clear water. The spray can be used on damp or dry material.

• Shake the bottle before use.
• Spray evenly from a distance of 10 to 15 cm.
• Wipe with a clean, damp cloth to improve performance and reduce waste.
• For optimum results, allow to dry for 12 hours.

Caution: Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged contact with skin. Use only in a well-ventilated area.

Care with solid wax

With regular use, the manufacturer recommends resealing the treated accessory, bag or jacket at least once a year. A soft cloth or sponge and a heat source are required for application.

• Remove dirt and sand.
• Clean with a sponge and cold water.
• Do not use soap or cleaning agents.
• Do not machine wash, dry-clean, iron or tumble dry.
• Work in a warm room or outside in the sun.
• Place the item in the sun or near a heat source.
• Carefully spread the wax with a cloth or sponge.
• Pay particular attention to seams and creases and rub the wax in thoroughly.
• Do not use excess wax.
• For an even finish, dry with a hairdryer after waxing.
• Hang the treated item in a warm place overnight.

Colour cream for smooth leather

The black or brown colour cream is used to cover scratches and scuffs on smooth leather. It must not be used on split leather.

• Clean the area to be treated.
• Massage the cream into the leather with a sponge and allow it to absorb.
• Allow to dry for 15 minutes.
• Then polish with a soft cloth.

Brushes and cleaning disc

• The soft brush with wooden handle provides even, scratch-free cleaning.
• The brush with brass bristles is designed for polishing and cleaning split leather.
• The cleaning disc removes glue and sticky materials from leather or split leather. To use it, rub it over the affected area with light pressure and then clean with a soft cloth.

Compatibility

The care kit is universally suitable as a care accessory for bags, accessories and clothing made from the specified materials and is also listed for the BMW CE 04 from model year 2021 onward.
