Comprehensive Care for Canvas, Leather and Split Leather

This maintenance kit combines selected products for the regular cleaning, care and waterproofing of accessories, bags and jackets made from canvas, smooth leather or split leather. As not every product is suitable for every material, the appropriate application must be selected for the respective surface.

Scope of Delivery

• Cotton bag with Unit Garage logo
• Waterproofing spray
• Block of solid wax
• One tube of black or brown color cream, 50 ml
• Soft cleaning brush with wooden handle
• Brush with brass bristles and wooden handle for split leather
• Cleaning eraser, 100 x 60 mm and 8 mm thick
• Microfiber cloth

How to Apply the Waterproofing Spray Correctly

The spray is suitable for the regular treatment of accessories, bags and jackets made from leather, canvas or split leather.

• Clean the item with warm, clear water if necessary.
• The spray can be used on damp or dry material.
• Shake the bottle and spray evenly from a distance of 10 to 15 cm.
• Wipe with a clean, damp cloth to improve performance and reduce waste.
• Allow to dry for 12 hours for optimal results.

Caution: Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged contact with skin. Use only in a well-ventilated area.

Care with Solid Wax

For accessories, bags or jackets used regularly, resealing is recommended at least once a year. A soft cloth or sponge and a heat source are required for application.

• Remove dirt and sand, then clean the material with a sponge and cold water.
• Do not use soap or detergents.
• Do not machine wash, dry clean, iron or tumble dry.
• Work in a warm room or outdoors in the sun.
• Place the item to be treated in the sun or near a heat source.
• Carefully spread the wax with a cloth or sponge, paying particular attention to seams and creases.
• Rub in thoroughly and avoid excess wax.
• For an even finish, dry the waxed material with a hair dryer.
• Then hang it in a warm place overnight.

Color Cream for Smooth Leather

The black or brown color cream is designed to cover scratches and scuffs on smooth leather. It must expressly not be used on split leather.

• Clean the affected area.
• Massage the cream into the leather with a sponge and allow it to absorb.
• Allow to dry for 15 minutes.
• Polish with a soft cloth.

Brushes and Cleaning Eraser

• The soft brush allows even, scratch-free brushing.
• The brass-bristle brush is designed for polishing and cleaning split leather.
• The cleaning eraser removes glue and sticky materials from leather or split leather. Move it over the area using light pressure, then clean with a soft cloth.
