Comprehensive care for canvas, leather and split leather

The maintenance kit combines various products for the regular cleaning, care and waterproofing of accessories, bags and jackets made from canvas, smooth leather or split leather. The product to use should be selected based on the respective material and the relevant application instructions.

Scope of delivery

• Cotton bag with Unit Garage logo
• Waterproofing spray
• Block of solid wax
• One tube of black or brown color cream, 50 ml
• Soft cleaning brush with wooden handle
• Brush with brass bristles and wooden handle for split leather
• Cleaning disc for removing glue and sticky residue, 100 × 60 mm and 8 mm thick
• Microfiber cloth

Waterproofing spray

The spray is suitable for the regular treatment of accessories, bags and jackets made from leather, canvas or split leather.

• If necessary, clean the item with warm, clear water.
• The spray can be applied to damp or dry material.
• Shake the bottle and spray evenly from a distance of 10–15 cm.
• Wipe with a clean, damp cloth to improve distribution and reduce waste.
• Allow to dry for 12 hours for optimal results.

Caution: Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged contact with skin. Use only in a well-ventilated area.

Solid wax

For frequently used accessories, bags or jackets, resealing is recommended at least once a year. A soft cloth or sponge and a heat source are required for application.

• Remove dirt and sand, then clean with a sponge and cold water.
• Do not use soap or cleaning products.
• Do not machine wash, dry-clean, iron or tumble dry.
• Work in a warm room or outside in the sun.
• Place the item to be treated in the sun or near a heat source.
• Apply the wax sparingly with a cloth or sponge and rub it in carefully.
• Pay particular attention to seams and folds.
• For an even finish, warm the waxed material with a hair dryer.
• Hang in a warm place overnight.

Color cream for smooth leather

The black or brown color cream is used to cover scratches and scuffs on smooth leather. It must not be used on split leather.

• Clean the area to be treated.
• Massage the cream into the leather with a sponge.
• Allow to dry for 15 minutes.
• Then polish with a soft cloth.

Brushes and cleaning disc

• The soft brush enables even, scratch-free brushing.
• The brass brush is designed for cleaning and caring for split leather.
• The cleaning disc removes glue and sticky materials from leather or split leather. To use it, rub it over the area with light pressure, then clean again with a soft cloth.
