The VERTEX GP Racer Choice forged piston is designed for the KTM 250 SX F in the full model year range from 2016 to 2022. As a forged aluminum piston, it combines competition-oriented piston compression with a detailed design for the 4T engine.

Function and construction

The shape and design of the piston crown are optimized to improve the flame front and achieve the maximum allowable compression ratio. Reinforcements stiffen the piston structure and reduce piston crown deformation under full load. A surface treatment serves to reduce friction.
