Comprehensive /7 roadster kit for the BMW R nineT

This comprehensive conversion kit combines the classic line of the shorter /7 tank with functional components for ergonomics, wind protection, rear design, engine protection and driving operation. The conversion is specially tailored to the R nineT Roadster; Additional restrictions apply to individual components based on year of manufacture and configuration.

/7 tank and ergonomics

The shorter nylon tank allows for a seating position that is further forward and therefore places greater strain on the front section. The distance to the handlebars is reduced. The motorcycle's fuel cap, fuel pump and activated carbon filter continue to be used, but the reserve warning light remains functional. The tank conversion is completely reversible.

The hand-sewn Karakum bag made of high-quality leather closes the transition between the tank and a seat intended for the original tank. It is suitable for small items such as keys, telepass, gate opener or coins and is supplied with a mounting bracket. Black with gray seams and brown with green seams are mentioned.

Front, fork and windscreen

• Four neoprene fork protectors with Velcro fasteners protect the fork tubes and give the fork a black look. The fork does not have to be dismantled for assembly.
• The small, flexible and durable lens offers wind protection with a minimalist appearance. Bracket and mounting materials are included; the disc integrates into the original instrumentation.
• The black anodized or aluminum-colored radiator grille protects the exposed cooling fins of the oil cooler from thrown stones. Vibration dampers are included.

Exhaust system and bracket

The low muffler is hand-crafted from titanium with stainless steel fittings and is designed in Moto GP style. It weighs about 3.4 kg less than the original system and has a removable DB killer. With the pillion frame installed, it is attached to the original anti-vibration mount.

The low exhaust mount included in the kit allows for mounting without a rear pillion frame. It is made of steel with a matt black epoxy powder coating. The original anti-vibration rubber is implemented into this holder.

Note: A homologation report is provided. Customers with Swiss citizenship can request an additional document for approval. The document is issued by the Swiss licensing authority and is subject to a fee.

Roadster tail and lighting

The roadster rear consists of two ABS half shells with an internal, epoxy powder-coated steel structure. A black anodized CNC aluminum insert replaces the original turn signals and the original taillight. The unit is already wired and has connections for the OEM electrical system.

Low license plate holder

The license plate holder is made of tubular steel with a matt black epoxy powder coating and has an aluminum plate measuring 187 × 187 mm. Brackets for original or retrofitted indicators, LED license plate lighting and cable extensions are included. The cables are routed through the pipe in a protected manner; it is attached to the telelever.

• To attach the original taillight under the seat, the corresponding taillight support plate is also required
• Not compatible with aluminum bag frames with rear crossbar

Fairing and protection components

• A pair of satin stainless steel intake manifold covers with Unit Garage logo. The covers are pressed onto the original rubber hoses without dismantling and are suitable for Air Boxer engines from 2004.
• A pair of molded ABS airbox side covers with a matte black and transparent finish. Brackets, screws and vibration dampers are included; No drilling or modifications to the motorcycle are required.
• Heavy-duty crash bar made of 25 mm thick steel tube with 2 mm wall thickness, double side protection and connecting cross member. The brackets are powder-coated and compatible with original and retrofitted cylinder head covers and protectors. This component is intended exclusively for R nineT Roadsters built between 2013 and 2016.
• Old-school style aluminum rear fender with 180mm width. It has a black epoxy powder-coated steel tube for attachment to the Paralever, reduces water splashes and is delivered undrilled with mounting material and instructions.

Important compatibility

The kit is intended for the BMW R nineT Roadster. The model-specific restrictions of the roadster rear, the license plate holder and in particular the crash bars, which are only intended for the 2013 to 2016 model years, must be taken into account during installation.
