BITUBO rear shock absorber for the BMW R 850 GS ABS

The rear shock absorber from BITUBO is intended for the BMW R 850 GS ABS (0403) from the 1996-2000 model year range. It replaces the original damper and offers adjustable tuning via the continuously adjustable rebound and continuous spring preload.

Technical characteristics

• Nitrogen filling with integrated tray
• Floating separating piston for separating oil and gas in a separate compensation chamber
• 12mm diameter shock absorber rod
• Piston rod anti-friction treatment
• Guide bushes with low friction index
• Aeronautical aluminum alloy upper connection head
• Manufacturing of the upper connection head using CNC machines

Setting options

• Extension or rebound: continuously adjustable
• Spring preload: continuously adjustable

The separate setting options allow the damper tuning to be specifically adapted to the respective requirements of the BMW R 850 GS ABS. The 12 mm thick piston shaft and the friction-reduced guide bushes are part of the technical design of this shock absorber.
