BMW R 1150 R [2000-2006] - BASIC Headlight Kit

Minimalist front-end conversion for the BMW R 1150 R

The BASIC headlight kit fundamentally transforms the front end of the R 1150 R and is ideal for a minimalist scrambler or roadster style. It is designed as a more minimalist alternative to the PRO headlight kit.

Kit Components

• Handlebar mount: Made of solid aluminum and black anodized, the adapters allow the BASIC or PRO headlight bracket to be attached to the front of the motorcycle.
• BASIC headlight frame: Made of steel and finished with a black powder coating. It mounts directly to the handlebar mounts on the triple clamp and accommodates the BASIC headlight.
• BASIC headlight: Headlight with E-mark and road approval, excellent light output, bulbs and the parts required for installation.

Concept and Requirements

The BASIC headlight frame has no mount for the high fender or the original instruments. Both must be removed. The frame is designed for mounting the optionally available digital speedometer.

The separately available windscreen can also be mounted on the frame. A BASIC headlight guard or headlight grille and an interface for fuel level and fuel reserve are also available as options.
