The YSS Gas Top Line Z-Series rear shock absorber is designed for the Yamaha XJ 6 S Diversion ABS (RJ 19) in the 2009-2012 model year range. Its adjustment options support targeted adjustment of the spring and damper movement to the desired setting.

Function and setting

The rebound setting regulates the flow of hydraulic oil through the vent. This allows the movement of the shock absorber to be coordinated in a controlled manner during rebound. The adjustment knob produces a clicking noise when adjusted, making it easier to understand the operation.

The spring is compressed together with the ring via the threaded spring preload ring. The ring can then be locked in the desired position. This means the spring preload can be adjusted to suit the intended setting.
